We are thrilled to introduce the Visionary Leadership Award, inspired by Dr. Richard Carmona.

The Visionary Leadership Award is bestowed upon one public safety leader annually who has made a profound and lasting impact within their agency or community.

A visionary leader is someone who sees beyond the present, an individual who can dream big and is determined to see those dreams become reality. These leaders inspire others, encourage collaboration, and nurture growth. They leave a lasting impact on their organizations, communities and the world at large. Nominees for the Visionary Leadership Award should be individuals who have spearheaded initiatives that promote officer wellness, foster community engagement, and/or create meaningful change.

The selection process for this award carefully considers the achievements of each nominee, with a focus on innovative solutions to complex problems and the ability to lead a team in pursuit of a shared mission. The winner will receive a paid trip to Axon's annual user conference in 2024 with a guest and a $5,000 donation to the agency/community program or non-profit.

By honoring remarkable individuals who have made a lasting impact, Axon and Dr. Carmona aim to pay tribute to those who have committed their careers to positive service, and inspire the next generation of change-makers.
